![]() Welcome to St. Bede Catholic School’s website! We are located in Hayward, California and are part of the Diocese of Oakland, California. We are a K-8 Catholic school, which emphasizes both Catholic education and academic excellence. Our curriculum features religion, reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, music, art, integrated technology, physical education, and field trips. Our extracurricular activities include the opportunity to participate in student government, boys’ and girls’ athletics, science club, Tae Kwon Do classes, and the opportunity to join the MUSE band. Today, the City of Hayward is known as the “Heart of the Bay,” not only for its central location but also for its accepting and caring environment. You will find that St. Bede’s is no different. We are a school built on a firm Catholic foundation as well as traditions. We are a school full of diversity, yet we exquisitely remain a true family in every sense of the word. We welcome you to visit our campus and find out for yourself. ![]() Dear St. Bede Catholic School Families, St. Bede Catholic School’s philosphy and mission statements clearly define who we are and what we believe in as a community of faith committed to providing a quality Catholic education. “We acknowledge Jesus Christ as the foundation of our school. Fundamental to all aspects of our educational system is the integration of life with gospel values as proclaimed by the Catholic Church.” In keeping with the charisma of the Holy Names Sisters, each student is encouraged to realize his or her full potential as an intelligent, cultural, spiritual, and socially aware individual within a safe secure environment. Our curriculum provides our students with a strong foundation beginning in kindergarten through eighth grade so that they have the opportunity to experience success and are prepared for high school. Students are challenged to make good choices, to live out Gospel values in all aspects of their lives, whether they are on the playground with their peers, in the classroom, or away from school. Our students are called to realize and respect diversity each day and to respectfully interact with one another and to serve others with in our own community as well as within local and global communities. As our students graduate, it is our hope that they will appreciate and live out the values that we have instilled in them through the examples that have been modeled, as well as what they have learned through their faith formation. We are very grateful for the many gifts that God has blessed us with and, in turn, sharing them with others helps all of us to live out our call as people of faith. Sincerely,
Mrs. Antoinette Cosentino |
